I've experimented with a hexaphonic guitar – I have one which is great. It was made by Steve Ripley. I was considering working on a guitar with Steve at the time I got involved with Ibanez. I'm hoping to use it sometime in the future. Although his hexaphonic guitar is a really marvelous thing, and there's nobody else making a guitar like that, I'm not using it as much as I'd like because I'm personally not satisfied with the inherent sound of the pickups (which Steve doesn't make), but the actual guitar is a wonderful instrument.
