NEW STUDIO RECORDING FEATURING ALLAN RELEASED

Christy Coobatis has released two tracks from the mid 80s that feature Allan. “The Dreamer” features Allan on guitar, while “It’s So Easy” a little more curiously features Allan on backing vocals. He also co-engineered these two tracks. According to Christy, he worked with Allan as a soundman and roadie, and Allan offered his services on these tracks as a friend. Here, we provide a link to “The Dreamer” as it features Allan’s guitar work. He plays a short but sweet solo from around 1.50 to 2.10, and a few short fills afterwards. His sound is very similar to his recordings with Jon St. James around the same time. The song is a pop tune in 80s fashion, with a partially sequenced backing track, and plenty of reverb, not too far removed from the St James album in sound either. Although perhaps not a major contribution to Allan’s discography, in 20 seconds he still plays some scary lines that definitely would have raised eyebrows on pop radio at the time of recording.

The two tracks are available on major streaming services, as well as available for purchase in digital format. Both tunes are accompanied by whimsical videos that feature a multitude of old movie clips. Here is a link to the video on YouTube. The other tune is also found on Christy’s channel.
