This album introduced a new band: Dave Carpenter and Gary Novak, plus a new sound: This time, it was Allan’s own tunes, but with a softer, jazzier feel, which Novak heavily underscored. Perhaps due to the band feeling, as well as what seemed like new inspiration, it is often seen as one of Allan’s best albums.
