"I actually first named the tune "Kinder," which is German for children. It was just a ballad when I wrote it, but it was one of the tunes I brought up with Tony. We changed it and started to play it really fast. Of course, it didn't sound the same to me then, so I changed the name to that of an adult. Fred was my first wife's nickname."
